Cookie Booths
Additional Cookie Booth Selections: Troops may select additional booths (including all Monday-Thursday booths) for the first three weeks of the sale (through Sunday, February 5). Submissions are accepted on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 8:00pm ONLY. Any submissions made at any other time will be placed at the end of the sorting list and awarded after all on-time booth selections have been awarded. The first selection will be available to all troops on Thursday, January 19th. Please remember that booth requests can ONLY be made by your Cookie Manager or Troop Leader. Any parents who wish to request a booth should let their cookie manager/troop leader know what booth(s) you would like so that they can submit it with their other troop booth requests. How does the additional booth selection work? The Cookie Booth Selection Form has a listing of 10 additional cookie booth picks that you can request. Each troop can submit 10 booth requests, but they will only be awarded up to 1 booth for each 3 (Brownies & Juniors) or each 2 (Cadettes, Seniors & Ambassadors) registered cookie sellers in their troop. That means that if you have 12 registered sellers, your Brownie & Junior troops can be awarded up to 4 booths per session; Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassador troops can be awarded up to 6 booths per session. The extra picks that you can submit are backups in case your earlier requests are taken by someone else. If you have more than 7 picks available to you, you may fill out the form twice; the second submission will be your 11th-20th picks When you submit your choices, the database will process your request and let you know if you've submitted a valid booth or not. Please be sure that you're submitting the right one! If you try to enter a combination that isn't valid (eg: Wings & More on Saturday from 8-10am) or is already taken by another troop, the system will tell you that you've entered an invalid booth choice. Double check your work before hitting that submit button!! At approximately 8:01pm (give or take a bit to account for Larissa's evening ritual for that night), the sorting begins. Booths will be awarded according to the server timestamp when the submission was made, and then by your choice #. All troop's first picks will be awarded (until they have been exhausted) and then move to your second pick, etc. If your first pick is taken by someone with faster typing hands, your next available pick will be awarded. (This is the same way that it was done for the past three years). Larissa will send out an email to the PAW SU Cookie Booth yahoo group after I have finished awarding all the booths, at which time you can go online and look at the troop booth lists to see what booths your troop has received. Booths from Monday, February 6th to Friday, February 17th will be released on Thursday, February 2nd - you can fill out the online form up to 4 times to make booth selections and receive double your normal booth picks. Please remember that troops cannot have more than two WalMart booths in one weekend. Larissa will try to make sure that each troop gets one WalMart booth (if requested) before assigning second WalMart booths. We want to keep this fair for all troops!
