Troop 1912

We are starting a new Journey-based group in the service unit, Troop 1912.

Who: All girls in the PAW Service Unit who are in 2nd-5th grades. We are mainly trying to make a home for girls who we have not been able to place in "traditional" troops, but we want any girl who wants to participate to do so.

Girls who are currently registered will remain registered with their own troops. Girls who are not currently registered will pay $12 and be registered as part of Troop 1912. This is not meant to replace a girl's participation with a troop, but to supplement it. It could also be a girl's only way to experience the Girl Scout program.

Meetings will be at the Pflugerville First United Methodist Church, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the third Monday of the month (except December, when we will meet the first Monday). First meeting is September 19!

Additional cost: $10 for the first meeting and $5 per meeting after that. The costs will cover their girl Journey book, building use fees, and meeting expenses.

Goal: Complete the Brownie Quest Journey and the Agent of Change Junior Journey.

This is something that just one or two girls from your troop could do if they are interested and others aren't. I am excited about this opportunity to reach girls who would not otherwise be able to participate in Girl Scouting and to have girls and adults from all over the service unit work together.
